RESUME

project 2 brief

project 1 brief

Aaron Ganci_course activity notes (5 points)

I thought Aaron had no enthusiasm and was so monotone I was almost falling asleep.  I feel like he was so into "user friendly technology" rather than design components that students at Drake need.  He would've been a great web design replacement teacher, but not sure if he could really start from square 1, where Hilary is really really good with teaching students who no absolutely nothing about html.  I did like that he recommended to students, "design for fun, it's important and fun to do work outside of client work" which I think is also very important.

Meredith Morrison_course activity notes (5 points)

I absolutely loved Meredith Morrison.  She was so enthusiastic I didn't doodle on my notepad once because she kept me engaged the entire time.  She has a very wide variety with graphic design and with art in general which will really benefit the Drake Art department.  Her design processes is what really caught me off guard, the way that she designs instead of just always thinking of the final product.  I think Meredith will really help the students engage with their designs and how they interpret them.

Ashley Hairston_course activity notes (5 points)

Ashley Hairston gave a presentation on Balancing Life as an Artist and Designer, on February 16th.  She was very unique, passionate, and excited about her art.  However, I didn't think she would be a great fit at Drake University.  She was very quiet, shy, and put back throughout her presentation, I wanted enthusiasm, laughter, and a loud engaged voice.  Also, in some of her presentation slides you could see her fingers in her portfolio pictures, is that professional?  I thought the design aspect of her presentation was awesome, the color, the layout, and the word usage, but the voice just didn't match it.

Do you think if she ever "googled" her name that our blog posts about her would show up?  Is that a good or bad thing?
